The WaterMaker/desalination units contain reverse osmosis membranes (RO) that are adversely affected by hydrocarbon pollution. Even the slightest bit of oil or gasoline sheen can irreparably damage the fragile RO membranes causing them to cease functioning requiring costly replacement. Our patented WaterMaker Protection System utilizes MYCELX infused filters to capture all hydrocarbon pollution before it can enter the RO matrix. The WaterMaker systems can safely be operated in ports and marinas without fear of catastrophic failure.
Centek Watermaker Replacement Filters
WPS replacement filters are available to accommodate the Watermaker Protection System. These filters will remove 100% of oil, gas, diesel and other hydrocarbons from your water intake. We recommend they be checked and/or changed every six months. Full filters will allow sheen to pass through and damage the RO element so it is important to keep them changed.
