The new ARS-5 is living proof that intelligent regulation doesn’t require a rocket scientist to reap its benefits. While installation and operation is easier than ever, the ARS-5 delivers the sophistication required to make the most of your marine charging system. Programming is as easy as selecting your battery type and belt width. Four battery types are supported; Gel, AGM, Std. Flooded, and Deep Cycle Flooded. Once the appropriate battery type is selected, the regulator enables you to select the proper power limits -- based on alternator output and belt width. Once those two modes are set, the regulator is ready to provide optimal charging control for your batteries. Alternator and Battery Temperature Sensing (with optional sensors MC-TS-A and MC-TS-B) ensure optimal protection for alternator and batteries, as well as voltage compensation based on ambient battery temperature – an essential function for newer battery technologies. “H” indicates with 54" harness. 4.6"L x 3.2W x 1.5"W. Audible Alert Kit

Duo Charge

Say “so long” to switches. Put your isolator on “ice”. The Digital Duo Charge delivers a smarter, safer and faster way to care for your batteries. Four built-in battery programs – Deep Cycle Flooded, AGM, Gel and Standard Flooded – safely maintain two battery types from the same charging source! Unique FET-based control virtually eliminates voltage drop while delivering up to 30 amps, so your batteries reach full charge quickly. Should greater charging power be required, the Duo Charge can be used to control a separate solenoid. Battery temperature sensing (requires optional MC-TSB Battery Temperature Sensor) adds even greater safety. Minimal “sleep” draw of 14mA when house voltage is less than 13V. Centerfielder

“Double” your charging efficiency. Recommended for use with Balmar high-output alternators and 12- or 24-volt Max Charge regulators on twin engine applications, the Centerfielder enables alternators on twin engines to work together to supply a balanced charging current to a large single battery bank. The Centerfielder monitors the charging system and identifies the dominant regulator, directing field voltage from that regulator to both port and starboard alternators – ensuring that both alternators will work at nearly the same percentage of capacity. If one engine shuts down, the Centerfielder will automatically terminate field voltage to that alternator, eliminating potential damage to the alternator and unwanted draw on the batteries. Should one regulator fail while underway, the Centerfielder will automatically turn control of both alternators over to the remaining regulator. Kit includes required fusing and wiring terminals. Six Series Alternators

High-output 6-Series alternators deliver superior cooling and impressive power across-the-board, thanks to dual internal cooling fans and a proprietary high-airflow cast aluminum case. Patented Smart Ready™ internal regulation delivers the ability to use the 6-Series alternator as a “stand alone” unit on vessels with limited charging needs, or the fail-safe dependability of having a single stage internal regulator on standby -- without having to sacrifice smart multi-stage external regulation. Oversized bearings, high-amperage diodes, D+ diode trio circuit and universal tensioning crown assure easy installation, excellent system compatibility and long life. Universal Adjustment Arm

Measuring 11” across, with an ample .25” thickness, the UAA Universal Adjustment Arm provides a solid substitute for lesser standard tensioning arms. Use whole, or cut to size. Corrosion resistant powdercoat finish.

Off Engine Bracket

Rugged cast aluminum bracket is milled to provide a precision support for 2” single foot or J-180 type 4” ID saddle style mounts. Predrilled mounting holes. Durable white powdercoat finish. Includes UAA tensioning arm as shown below.
